This movie was first released in 1956(2011), runs 82 minutes in B/W and full screen. The picture and sound quality is very good and there are no extras in the DVD. The movie starts with Dave Robalis(ANTHONY QUINN) playing with a dog when 2 stangers ride into the town. Robalis has been waiting for Dan Ritchie. Robalis explains to Dan that the other 4 were dead and in the gun draw, Dan is shot dead. Robalis also has a left chest injury and is taken to Dr Adams. Luckily he has a minor wound. The saloon boss, Banninger introduces Robalis to his other boys. Sheriff Tillman is sent by the town folks to the saloon to keep order. The drunk gunmen tease the sheriff and Robalis had to shoot 2 of them. Robalis is also interested in Estella(KATY JURADO) who works for Dr Adams. The sheriff and his wife leave town. There is a town meeting to discuss law and order. The town offers Robalis the job of sheriff and he excepts. However, he soon realises that he is not excepted socially. In a fist fight with Banninger, Robalis breaks his right wrist. He tells Bannister to leave town at 10 O'clock(am) or fight.
How will the movie end? Will Robalis or Banninger leave town? Does Banninger know that Robalis has broken his right wrist and may not be able to draw? Does the town care? What will Estella do?
The B/w photography by STANLEY CORTEZ is excellent under good direction by HARRY HORNER. Anthony Quinn and Katy Jurado give excellent performances.
