Never be stuck for a wicked line again! - the ultimate collection of insults

Here is the biggest and best ever collection of insults and sharp retorts for when you just wish you could have thought of something faster. Editor Geoff Tibballs presents over 5000 come-backs, put-downs, snaps, insults, unadmiring quips and quotes, for every occasion. From the most elegant of studied insults to the wickedest of putdowns, from the language of the street to the literary, political, and entertainment worlds, from playground insults to sports, family and marriage jibes - here is every possible barb you could ever need, guaranteed to crack up all those around you. As an outsider, what do you think of the human race? Your mother's so fat, she has her own area code. Are your parents siblings? Anyone who told you to be yourself couldn't have given you worse advice. Is there no beginning to your talents? You'd be out of your depth in a puddle. Don't you need a licence to be that ugly? I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my arse. I'd love to go out with you but I have to worm my dog.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad 13 Nov 2010
By Phil B

More than half this book is taken up with insults about the famous before getting down to what the title of the book and its cover is meant to guarantee. That said fairly, amusing and cheap at the price. Go on and buy it. You know you want to!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious 16 Sep 2010
By gypsy
Format:Paperback
Bought this book after hearing the author on the BBC. True to form this is a hilarious collection of juicy tidbits that will suit most palates.
Can be boring in parts where you may miss the context or not know the character. On the whole pleasurable read on the hoof.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect 6 Sep 2010
Format:Paperback
This book is a great bathroom read. It is quite thick but full of all the little quirky comments you just wish you could say. It's a perfect book if you're trying to find some come-backs. I particularly like that the book is well organised into chapters wich covers all subjects. I would recomend it to all my friends and family but I can't admit that I picked up the best comments from a buok full of them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not funny at all..... 8 Mar 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is one of this books, that you read and then wonder, whether you are just not getting it or it's not funny...10 minutes later you realise it's NOT FUNNY..

Waste of money really... Filled up with insults like:

''Henry Miller is not really a writer but non-stop talker to whom someone has given a typewriter. - Gerald Brenan''

'' (of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho) I think the film is a reflection of most unpleasant mind, a mean, sly, sadistic little mind. - Dwight Macdonald ''

''The difference between Los Angeles and yoghurt is that yoghurt has real culture. - Tom Taussik''

Ridiculous... It was even more embarrassing, that I have purchased it for my fiancé, and as you can imagine, it was not a good gift...:(
