From the Mallen Streak. Constance is betrothed to Donald, yet she loves Matthew. The opening of this second series sees Constance and Matthew in the hills together and here, Matthew plants his seed into Constance. Donald and Constance get married, on his wedding night Donald finds out that his wife is not a virgin. Constance now lives with the Radlets. Donald taunts her in trying to find out who was responsible for her pregnancy. In the meantime, the Mallen's old home Highbanks Hall has been bought by a mill owner from Manchester. The baby arrives and it has blonde hair. The head of the Radlet household dies and is buried on the same day that the baby is baptized. Constance's sister Barbara visits and is offered a bed for the night, she refuses and makes her way home in terrible weather conditions and takes respite in a barn close to her home. She is not alone, her uncle Thomas Mallen who has been drinking is there. He rapes Barbara. Miss Brigmore takes a gun to the barn and uncle Thomas commits suicide. Watching the arrival of his mother, brother, wife and child at the farm, it dawns on Donald who the father of his wives child is: brother Matthew. Barbara is nearing her full term of pregnancy when they have a visit from a solicitor from Newcastle. Richard Mallen who absconded to France was killed in a duel and has left his fortune to his niece Barbara. All the trinkets he stole plus £2,500 in cash. Barbara gives birth and dies. Miss Brigmore looks after this child and takes on a job at Highbanks Hall as a governess. Here she finds out that Donald Radlet wants to buy a farm off the owner of the Hall for £2,000 and realizes what he is planning. Donald has been to Hexham to see a solicitor and found out that he, Donald, is now the legal guardian of Barbara's bairn and the fortune that goes with her.Read more ›

I bought the set of four DVDs to replace an ageing video set.
They arrived on time as promised, but would have been better as an album set.
Seperate postage and packing charged on each one, which is not a good idea!
