Product Description

Five episodes following the story of the famous wooden puppet who wants nothing more than to be a real boy. In 'The Puppet is Alive!', Geppetto carves a puppet from an oak branch, wishing that the puppet were a real boy. In 'I Don't Want To Be a Puppet', Pinocchio is on stage and the evil puppet master is forcing him to dance and sing. 'Mind Your Father!' sees Pinocchio experiencing his first winter, discovering snow and ice for the first time. In 'Who Can I Trust?', Benny the mouse is jealous of Pinocchio, so he encourages Willy Weasel and Ferdy Fox to steal Pinocchio's lunch box. Finally in 'Where Is a Heart?', Pinocchio walks to school with Jino after Jino's parents struggle to decide whether Jino should go to school or not.

I used to catch this on Weekends in the morning and forgot how catchy the intro theme was. Its only 5 episodes though but the story and animation is good. It can be a bit scary for very young ones but at least it doesn't try to sugar coat things. Good value too.
