The Magic of You has to be one of the best books in the Malory series. It is the romance of Warren Anderson and Amy Malory. You would have met them both already in gentle in Gentle Rogue.
From the moment Amy met Warren Anderson at her uncles home she knew she was attracted to him. She is not sure if she loves him but since she has never felt this way before she decides it's worht the risk. Warren however is not interested in going anywhere near her even if he is attracted, he will not get involved with his hated brother in laws niece. Amy is certain she can win him over and tells him so. She even plans to suduce him if he resists. She begins to follow him everwhere which causes no end of trouble and very amusing situations.
This book is one of my personal favorites and it makes a change to see a woman chasing after the man in such a way that you would expect a man to chase after a women. This one's a keeper.

The Magic of You has been one of my favorite books since I read it several years ago! It was the first of the Malory series I read, and only last week did I discover there were more! I finished Love Only Once last night and can't wait to start Tender Rebel. I was disappointed in Love Only Once as it wasn't as entertaining as The Magic of You. I loved Amy & Warren together. They played off each other so well and ignited sparks between them that were breath taking! My favorite scene had to be when they were rolling around on the road in the middle of the night. Their antics were priceless. Because of this novel, I will be an ever-faithful Lindsay fan! Now excuse me so I can begin Tender Rebel!

I liked the idea of a reverse from the norm... having Amy chase after Warren... but Warren's just not as lovable as James and Tony... so I guess you could say the British scoundrels spoiled me. I did enjoy the book, especially when the couple was discovered in bed together... by the scoundrels no less! I just didn't enjoy it as thoroughly as previous Malory tales. Still, just for introducing the world to the Malory clan, I'll remain a faithful Lindsey fan!!! Besides I'm waiting to see who will be able to crack the calm facade of Thomas Anderson! Now that would be worth chasing after!

This was definitely the best book in the Malory series. Amy is the most adorable heroine. I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did when I read this book. The best scene? When Amy tells Warren, "I want you." A must read.

I have been a loyal Johanna Lindsey fan for over 15 years. I'll admit that I have liked some of her books more than others, but I have never disliked any of her stories or her characters. I am always amazed when I think about the fact that she has been writing for over 20 years. I have read all of her books and I have never seen similarities in her plots or her stories. They are all unique.I am an avid reader and I like a lot of authors, but Johanna Lindsey stays my all time favorite because of her ability to keep her stories fresh. Regarding this story I thought it was wonderful to see the female do the chasing. Amy Malory acted true to form as far as I was concerned. She acted as the male Malory's had when they decided they wanted someone. She was bold and very charming as James and Tony were without being crass or trashy. I loved it! I thought it was wonderful that unlike other family members that had had to have shot gun weddings, Amy refused to settle for anything less than true love and full commitment. I respect other peoples opinions, but I really don't understand why some people were so upset by a women that went after what she wanted. It was great in the sense that I think that the author was trying to show that even though Warren was twice Amy's age she was mature enough to handle him. Johanna, please keep up the great work! I am one of your greatest fans!

I have read all of Ms. Lindsey's books and this one is my favorite. I love the fact that it was Amy doing the chasing to the unabtainable man! I loved Warrens gruff exterior. What can I say? The whole book was great!

I loved how the usual pattern of romances, where the man is chasing the woman,
was switched to the woman chasing the man! Amy was witty and hilarious. She knew what she wanted and went after it. Poor Warren never had a chance!
I read this book over and over again, untill my book was ragged and torn. Definitely one
of Lindsey's best.

This hands down is the best JL book! I loved the fact that Amy did all the chasing. Her lines just had me rolling. The chemistry between her and Warren is the best i've seen. Every scene was so well written and sexy. This book would bring the dead back to life. We need more heroines like Amy.
