About the Author
Richard Idemon gained a warm and enthusiastic following around the world with his highly provocative and original teaching style. He was a founding member of AFAN, and was affiliated with the NCGR and the Jungian Society. He died in 1987.

This is a great book for intermediate to advanced astrology buffs. If you like astrologers like Stephen Forrest, Liz Greene, and Stephen Arroyo then you will like Richard Idemon.

It is so sad that Richard Idemon died so young, his engaging personality and astrological wisdom are evident in the many gems that lie within these pages and leave you wanting more. The Magic Thread is a delight to have in my collection and testimony to a great talent. Transcribed from a series of lectures, this is a very valuable book.

I was delighted to see that this book had been re-issued.Richard died in 1986 but through this book and through his relationship book "Through the Looking Glass" his articulate and wise presence remains with us.The book is a carefully edited transcript of a 6 day seminar co-led with Liz Greene.Richard beautifully defines his ground breaking approach to Psychological Astrology by taking the seminar group through his method of finding the magic thread in an individual chart.The case studies are clearly deconstructed .Throughout,Richard's experience as a psychotherapist adds to his breadth of vision.He raises issues to do with being a counselling astrologer which are still highly relevant today.The tone is humourous,intelligent,caring and incisive all at the same time.
Highly recommended for any astrologer.
