Product Description

Product Description

"A Book of Pixie Stories" - Some pixies are sweet and helpful, but some are lazy, and the naughty ones love to play tricks. In this you will meet all sorts of pixies, so you will know what to do if ever you see one. "The Book of Fairies" - Follow the adventures of Betty, the girl who doesn't believe in fairies - but soon changes her mind, Karin the shy gnome, and many more. "The Book of Brownies" - Hop, Skip and Jump are three naughty brownies who love to play tricks. But when a wicked witch tricks the tricksters and has them capture the little fairy-princess Peronel for her, they are turned out of fairy land by the angry king. These are magical tales of excitement and adventure from Enid Blyton.

About the Author

Enid Blyton is one of the best-loved children's authors with over 700 titles published. Aged 27, Enid married Hugh Pollock and moved to London. They had two children, and soon afterwards Enid wrote her first novel, The Adventures of the Wishing-Chair. Enid divorced Hugh after almost 20 years of marriage, and married Kenneth Waters in 1943. Throughout the 40s and 50s, Enid wrote books at a colossal pace: adventure stories, mysteries, magical stories, farming stories, stories for younger children, and best-selling series like Malory Towers and Amelia Jane. Enid fell ill with Alzheimer's disease and she died in 1963. Her stories remain timeless classics, adored throughout the world.

Enid Blyton books are great 18 Oct 2011
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I love how there's chapters. They are each about different people and some of the chapters are about the chapter before. My favourite chapter so far is 'The Lost Golden Ball',and I like all the rest too. Except for 'The Floppety Castle and the Goblin Cave'. I didn't like this one because there wasn't enough excitement, and wasn't that interesting.
My only other problem with the book is that page 172 has a line of text missing from the top of the page.
I love the drawings.
