About the Author
Peter Haining has been a writer for nearly thirty years, publishing books on a huge variety of subjects, many reflecting his own enthusiasms and interests. His book 'The Spitfire Log', written to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Battle of Britain, enjoyed a spectacular success. He and his family live in Suffolk. Jean Cook has been involved with MGs all her life; from the days she spent watching her father's MGs race at Brooklands and helping at MG rallies. She still plays an active part in MG events and writes a regular column, 'The Kimber Connection', for MG Enthusiast. She is a Vice President of the MG Car Club and an Honorary Member of the MG Owners Club and the Octagon Car Club. She has contributed to books on the history of MG and on her father, as well as providing photographs and information. Her other love, sailing, occupies much of her time and she and her husband live in Cowes where they edit and part-write a quality magazine for the Island Sailing Club.
