I walked the entire route in Feb/March 2011. Despite being published in 2009 the book is already out of date due to new forest roads, building developments etc. The route description doesn't always match what you find on the ground and you will need ingenuity to stay on route. The waymarking is often poor as is the map that comes with the book. Some parts of the route don't see many walkers and are overgrown. The book is annoyingly too big to fit in a pocket without folding it in half. Having said that, it's probably the best guide in the English language and it would be a much more difficult walk without it. Tourist development is rife on some parts of the coast so the route is likely to change year on year. If you're thinking of walking some of the less popular parts I'd strongly recommend taking a GPS and downloading the waypoints mentioned in the book, this will get you back on track when the waymarking lets you down. It's quite a good trek but not one of the top 10 in the world, not by a long way.
