Book Description

A Russian cosmonaut is found murdered in his London hotel room hours before delivering a lecture on the Soviet moon shots.

The Metropolitan Police believe they have their man, and the case is closed.

But in the moments before he died, the victim horribly mutilated himself.

One man understands the significance of that act.

Detective Chief Superintendent Peter Gower realises that the victim was leaving a clue - that this was a crime committed by a fellow Freemason to keep hidden one of the great secrets of that mysterious fellowship.

Gower is about to embark on the most dangerous case of his career – and discover the last great conspiracy of the space race.

His is about to unlock The Lunar Code.

'The Lunar Code' is the first in a new series of Masonic murder mysteries featuring Peter Gower. A brilliantly enthralling novella, it introduces a character who is set to take his place among the great detectives of the genre.

The book is perfect for fans of the conspiracy stories of Dan Brown, the thrillers of James Patterson, and the crime stories of Ian Rankin.

'A new character from an arcane world and a reminder that, even in today's society, much remains hidden.' - Scott Griffin, best-selling author of The Donor and The Benefactor.

Robert Foster is a former banker and financial modeller. He is also an experienced Freemason who lives in Scotland

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quick read 10 April 2013

As a freebie, it was very good value, easy to read and a good enough story.

As someone with no knowledge of the masons, i wasn't sure whether the details were utter fiction, or simply put a spotlight over some very odd practices.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good plot for a short story 9 Nov. 2012

I was really impressed with this book. Although the kindle version had lots of spelling and grammatical errors, the story was good enough to make me want to keep reading. Good plot, good characters and good ending.

3.0 out of 5 stars Adequate. 6 Aug. 2013

Good enough short story. Let down by amateurish grammar, punctuation and typing. Everyone likes a conspiracy theory. Could have made a decent novel.

2.0 out of 5 stars Reader, I finished it. 1 Aug. 2013

And that was an achievement. And why the review got 2 stars rather than the lowest possible.
Awful dialogue, full of emotives and a rubbish ending similar to the final chapters of other formulaic authors.
But this author won't be so successful.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good idea but needs editing 5 Jan. 2013

Got this as a freebie. Liked the idea of the plot, and despite the many, many errors kept reading until .... it seemed to end in mid-air. NOt sure if all the pages were actually there but it was very odd. I wouldn't read more from this author based on this one book.

As with most Kindle freebies it is in dire need of proofreading and editing.
