Mridula's book has transformed my Indian cooking! Her recipe for chick pea and spinach curry has been cooked up almost every week in our household, often substituting the spinach for whatever we can get in season, such as chard, kale, beetroot leaves. It is lovely!

Her quick naan bread is better than any I have bought. In short, she has saved us a fortune as the currys we can make at home now are better than any we have had in a restaurant.

Low fat - not at all 26 Jan 2009
Bought this book and most disappointed with it. Supposedly low fat - most recipes start with - 3 tablespoons of oil. May be lower in fat than the usual Indian cookery books but this was not what I was expecting. Most disappointed and it has been relegated to the car boot box.
