I bought this hoping for some culinary inspiration, but it is very basic in terms of recipes. The book contains a lot of information about Carbs and why they are not good for you in excess, there are also diet plans and spurious advice on exercise. I did not need this info, as I am already well informed on the pros & cons of low carb dieting, and also know all I care to know about exercise. It's supposed to be a cookbook, for goodness sake.
When the recipes do finally appear, and the first does not surface until page 60, they are rather unimaginitive and there is nothing there that I could not have rustled up without reading this book.
I am very disappointed with this book and would recommend you buy The Low Carb Gourmet by Karen Barnaby instead, as in my opinion it is far superior.
