Meet Clovis, the roaringest tiger in the whole world

Clovis is a very noisy little tiger. He knows he has the loudest roar in the whole jungle. And Clovis thinks that everyone else should know it too. He's good at roaring, but he's very good at hiding - and that's when the trouble begins. The other animals soon tire of him jumping out and shocking them with his loud roar! - but what can they do to stop him?

BLA major new picture book from Thomas Taylor, the artist who created Harry Potter, for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Thomas Taylor was born in Norfolk, England in 1973, but grew up in Wales. He attended Norwich Art School in 1991, before going on to specialise in illustration at Anglia University in Cambridge, graduating in 1995. After dabbling in Theatre design he decided to concentrate on children's books because he prefers the colours.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great loud story 10 Mar 2004
Format:Paperback
This is a fab little story about a very noisy tiger and the other animals in the jungle who get fed up with him. It is fab for making lots of noise and has really nice illustrations of all the other jungle animals. Great for 2-5's.

4.0 out of 5 stars A loud favourite! 15 July 2003
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is a bright, bold storybook, which can be read to children from 12 months upwards. Although they may not really understand the story, they will soon learn the imporant association between the marks on the pages and the words you say because of the distinctive 'ROOAARRR!' pages. My daughter loves the way I make each roar get louder and longer - I holde the last one until I run out of breath!
The artwork is colourful, and on the whole realistic, although Clovis himself is a bit on the cute side. There's lots of nice details which you can point out to a child, especially the places where Clovis is hiding. Fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet little book 29 July 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
My son really likes this book about Clovis the noisy little tiger. It isn't hugely exciting in that it doesn't rhyme or even have a huge amount of dialogue, but my 2.5 year old likes it a lot and that's all that matters! The pictures are sweet and the message (do to others as you would like done to yourself) is a good one for kids - Clovis keeps sneaking up on the other animals and roaring at them, so they all join forces and sneak up on him and produce a deafening roar. I would describe this book as 'nice'.
