By Patrick
Format:Hardcover
An excellent book displaying some of the super tombs seen on the West Bank with superb photography, did get a little tetchy with the photos that opened up beyond the size of the book. This is awkward if you are reading it sitting in a chair but easier if reading it supported by a table.

Text very detailed and offers a range of ideas and facts about the tombs and their occupants. The experience of the author shows through in his knowledge of the Egyptian archaelogy in this area.

Beautiful Book

This is the first comprehensive book i've read or purchased regarding the non-royal tombs. It is well written and presented with a wealth of easily digested information. This looks to me like a perfect book for beginning to get inside the tombs of the nobles, etc. The photographs are stunning and in my opinion the book is cheap for the quality of the images alone.

Dr Hawass wonders 8 Feb 2010
Format:Hardcover
If you have been to Egypt and wondered what was behind thoughts tomb entrances with only a hand painted number on the rock outside, then this the book for you. Dr Hawass is in a unique position having access to any tomb in Egypt and is prepared to share these wonders in this books. Love or hate Dr Hawass he has done much to protect Egyptian heritage.
