Product Description

Product Description

From the scorching sands of Cairo to the Canyon of the Crescent Moon, this personal journal of Dr Henry 'Indiana' Jones, Jr chronicles every thrilling adventure, from the original Raiders of the Lost Ark to the eagerly anticipated fourth feature film. Filled with sketches, notes and jottings in the great man's own hand, and accompanied by rare archive photos and much material never published before, the journal records the artefacts and discoveries, the folklore and the characters -- not to mention the narrow escapes and heroic escapades -- encountered on each of his globetrotting travels. For Indiana Jones fans old and new who wish to recapture the excitement of these legendary films in book form, The Lost Journal of Indiana Jones provides a uniquely vivid inside view of the swashbuckling world of cinema's most popular adventurer.

Just received this book and for the price Amazon are selling it for, it's a massive bargain. Any Indy fan should buy this. It fills in the missing information looking at different aspects to Jones' life from teaching, the various experiences he had as a child to the thoughts in his head conveyed onto paper.

It has humour and really makes you think that that Indiana Jones was a real person. It makes you want to own your own journal, of course mine would not even be a percent as interesting as this.

I purchased all three boxsets of the young Indiana Jones adventures recently and have been working my way through all of them (I'll add reviews for them later), I just wanted to say how pleased I was when this great little book arrived which I had bought simply on a whim as it was cheap. It works so wonderfully as a companion to my Indiana Jones collection, I now own the whole thing the YIJ boxes, the original trilogy box and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Blu-Ray (Which I enjoyed but not nearly as much as the originals)It was fun to have this open in my hands while watching and looking though Indy's notes on various events, the inclusion of the menu from Pancott Palace(Temple of Doom 'Mmmm chilled monkey brains') along with Indy and Short-Round's scribbles is particularly hilarious. It really feels like the character/s in the films have written in this book and that is a testament to it's quality as a piece of merchandise. A must for any Indy fan, especially at this price.

Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is a lovely item which any Indiana Jones fan, would enjoy. It is a faximile of Indy's journal. It is not like a novel or text-book, but more like a 'scrap-book', in that the pages are designed to look old and have their edges uneven instead of perfectly cut as in modern books. There are photographs, sketches, hand-writing and 'cuttings'. To add to the effect, there are two pages which appear to have been ripped-out and there is an elasticated band which is used as a book-mark.

This journal can be used in conjunction with the 'Chronicles of Young Indiana Jones', as it follows quite closley his adventures. It also follows the first three movies.

All-in-all, it is a splendid book which adds to any Indiana Jones collection.
