5.0 out of 5 stars Now I'm found... 4 Dec 2005
Format:Hardcover
TV producers usually know that fans of certains shows are like putty in their hands and will therefore shell out their hard-earned cash on just about any old tat. So it's a really refreshing change to find a TV companion book that is superb in its own right. Just about everything that could be crammed in is in here - from cast interviews and episode summaries to behind-the-scenes how-did-they-do-that explanations of Lost, from genesis to special effects. To top it all off the photos are superb and the print quality of the book is excllent. If you are a fan of the show, or are just interested in how TV programmes make it from the drawing board to the screen then this book is a must-have. Word of warning though - there are loads of spoilers in here so if you haven't seen all of Season 1 yet you might want to keep the book hidden somewhere safe - I couldn't resist and found out who lives/dies etc (my own fault, really!) And to top it all off, there is also a CD included with the book featuring the first half of the pilot episode so that you can relive that terrifyingly real plane crash all over again...

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality book 1 April 2006
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
Great details, behind the scenes, characters and spoilers (if you bought the book before the end of the screening on the tv)

Has pilot shows on a DVD. Great stuff. If your an avid fan it gives you details of where everyone comes from. I tried to hold myself back from reading the rest of the book while the show was on but just couldnt.

Great book, explains everything about lost and why each person was on the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars A 'behind-the-scenes' book 31 Mar 2013
By CamKurd
Format:Hardcover
If you are a big fan like I am and you are curious to find out more about the storyline and the plot of Lost, this is not the book to find it in. No hidden mysteries or meanings are found within this book.

However, if you are in doubt about certain events that happened in the first series and require some more explanation here and there, this book includes detailed descriptions of the main events of each episode. Although detailed, it is no way a substitute for the DVD series themselves however.

Also if you are interested in learning more about how the series started, how the set looked like and problems they encountered while shooting the series and how these problems were resolved, I'd highly recommend the book. It is a great 'behind-the-scenes' book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lost, but not forgotten 6 Nov 2009
By M. Wake
Format:Hardcover
I read this book shortly after watching the entire first season straight through and have to say that like the TV show there is an impression that the writers don't really know quite where they're going with things. It's worth a look if you're a newcomer to the series but I'd say having now finished five years worth of the program a lot of the content here will either be out of date or highly contradictory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Addict 12 Feb 2006
Format:Hardcover
This is one of the finest US dramas to hit the UK last year. And being a total addict I just had to get this book. And it really is everything you could need from a series accompanying book. There are loads of cast interviews and the DVD shows the episode that got us all hooked. The episode summaries are great and are formed as if we, the reader, are also deserted on the island. If you love Lost, you'll love this!

1.0 out of 5 stars Boring book of a boring series 24 May 2009
Format:Hardcover
The only good thing about this book is the addition of the very first LOST episode on DVD. The episode which really blew our minds apart and got us excited for what turned out to be an overlong, dull and simply ludicrous TV series.
