In the late summer of 1972, legends gathered to shake the iconic Twin Towers of Wembley Stadium to their very core and re-emphasise that rock and roll was most certainly here to stay! Put on your leathers and blue jeans or mini skirt and bobby sox, clear the furniture from in front of the TV and dance along to great live performances from Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bill Haley And The Comets, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more. Also included are backstage interviews with Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Mick Jagger.

I saw this show live in 1972. Many artists came on during the afternoon including Screaming Lord Sutch. There were arguements as to who should top the bill. As Little Richard and Jerry Lewis couldn't agree it was decided that Chuck Berry would perform last. They all put on a fantastic show. One of the surprise performances was from Bill Hayley and the Comets who sounded better than their records with a fuller sound. It is a shame this can't be said for this DVD as the sound is awful. Still it is nice to recall a memory of this important day in the History of Rock 'N Roll

Great stuff from Bo, Jerry Lee, Chuck, Haley and Richard, if you are a fan like me , it's a must have but only for archive or nostalgic reasons, as the sound balance is generally poor, Bo's one chord "Shave and a haircut, two bob" songs are a stand out !!
Takes you right back to the days when a record lasted around 2.30 minutes and you knew all the words. Days of excitement, anticipation and fun. When you saved hard to buy a record and really did get the most from it and treasured it for many a long year until you had overplayed it and it started to slip on the turntable...time to replace.

I bought this for my husband, and he seemed to enjoy it. Very much for those who love the real and original rock n'roll.
