5.0 out of 5 stars A great insight into London's Olympic history 26 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
With Olympic fever (or is it just the sudden hot weather?) gripping the capital this is a timely look back at the three times London has hosted the Olympics.

Written with intelligence and no small amount of wry wit, David has managed to link old and new virtually seemlessly - certainly more so than LOCOG appears to have done with some of its arrangements for 2012!

It's not a mammoth tome and can be read in one single, shortish, sitting but it is well worth the pittance of a selling price for its wealth of games trivia. Should be required reading for BBC commentators before they pick up a microphone...
