This book offers morsels of information & commentary about various areas of London. Some of the sections are very curious, some are hilarious, others are just historical. It is a well-done book of trivia. Even for someone who was born & raised in the city, you will find that there are just some things that you don't know about 'The Big Smoke'. That is the allure of the book, anyone can read it: a tourist, a new arrival, a historian or a born & bred Londoner. Perfect!

Fifteen years in the writing, this book is a long awaited publication from authors dominating the "specialist" magazine shelf. Despite the absence of full-colour glossy illustrations, the prose remains vivid and arousing.
This volume is set to be the authorative guide to the inner London Scene; many tens of copies will be sold within the next decade.
