Book Description

22 Jun 2006
At first, the police were sure that the bombers used weapons-grade plastic explosives and sophisticated timers. Two weeks later, they changed their minds - the bombs were home-made and were detonated manually. Since then the official account has changed repeatedly and remains riddled with anomalies and confusion. The government is resisting calls for a full inquiry and instead intends to present a 'narrative' written by a civil servant that will stand as the definitive account of what took place. As Mosaddeq demonstrates in this exhaustive investigation, such an approach cannot hope to provide the public with an adequate explanation of what took place. He further shows how the attacks can only be fully understood in the light of extensive co-operation between the Islamist extremists and Western Intelligence in Central Asia, and U.S. - U.K. state interests. The London bombings, much like the attacks on New York in 2001, were a widely predicted consequence of the West's global strategy. If we do face a future of terrorism we should at least understand the extent to which our governments have accepted this as the price of business as usual.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Shocking Truth 24 Oct 2006
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
When I began this book I was prepared for an onslaught of Muslim Agenda and a heavy dose of West-Bashing. It isn't there. This is a finely balanced, exquisitely researched book written by a man who truly loves Britain and who understands what true democracy and freedom are all about. He guides the reader clearly through several decades of betrayal by our own governments (both British and American) showing how we have gotten to such a mess with Islamic terrorism running amok around the world.

Ahmed puts before the reader what has appeared in print for over two decades and shows the reader how to connect the dots. There is no talk of jihad or holy war. There is no preference for one party over another. There is simply the bold, plain truth that we, as free citizens of western democracies have been lied to for years. This is not your leftie-liberal-victim drival with no base. This is cold, hard facts with penetrating analysis. Ahmed makes the reader want to know what the simple Joe Blow in the street can do to bring our politicians to some sort of accountablity.

His analysis of the Balkan connection to our current crisis is shocking. And when you learn how the diamond smuggling of Sierra Leone (used to finance much of Islamic terrorism around the world) is and has been done under the protection of our own security personnel you only have to wonder whose side the government is on?

Read this book only if you have the courage to learn the truth, and only if you are strong enough to accept that difficult days lie ahead of us if we want 'The Free World' to remain free. If you want real 'conspiracy theories' then you have them here. The conspiracy of so-called Western democracy in betraying its own people.

Nafeez Ahmed's latest book is the natural continuation of his previous works on `Al Qaeda' and the apparently symbiotic relationship it has with Western Intelligence Services. This collation of what is available on public record provides a credible alternative theory about our govenment's approach to 'Radical Islamic' groups in the run up to the London Bombings. If you are prepared to digest the ample detail provided to substantiate his conclusions and questions, you will no doubt be slightly unsettled but agree that our government owes us some answers. The real strength of this work for me is the author's ability to provide a coherent argument for many of the areas he touches on but also to know when to leave an open-ended question for future revelations to answer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Treason Exposed 4 Sep 2006
"Given the response of the government to 7/7, it is difficult to avoid the conclusion that the London bombings have been shamefully exploited by the state to simply serve its own empowerment." p.269

This work is for readers who can follow a logical argument without emotional diversion. Ahmed's research and analysis is exhaustive, prodigious and profound; demonstrating the very highest academic protocols.

His conclusions are explosive and demand that every politically responsible UK citizen becomes aware of the facts and makes at least some effort to make others aware too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Censored 3 Feb 2009
Excellent book I thought but of course you have to read it yourself: one isn't drawn to this material if your mindset is pre-set. I attempted to find out what was censored by going online but Nafeez's site doesn't apear online. I have a Malaysian print of the book too and it's also censored: a sad thing to find these days in any form.

How does one find the missing text? Governments can kill people like Menezes with impunity: Censored books to me rates on the same scale as an affront to civilisation.

5.0 out of 5 stars everyone should read this 11 Mar 2007

this book is a must read for at least everyone in britain .mr ahmeds understanding of the story behind the spin and corruption is absolutely mindblowing. i found this book a very easy read and a real page turner ,so much so that i have bought one or two more of his books . overall the book is a definite 5 star ,well deserved. the evidence within it is so much that it proves that we need to have a proper investigation of these matters ,no matter where the cards may fall .

mr ahmed consider your hand shaked!

In this heavily censored book, N.M. Ahmed's courageous, independent and painstaking research, reveals a very disturbing overall picture: the collusion of British intelligence with radical Islamist networks in order to protect international regional strategic and economic private interests (energy).

Apparently, under a `Covenant of Security', British authorities allowed radical Islamists to use the UK as a base of operations for international terrorist activities, as long as they did not target British interests at home.

But, this tacit agreement undermined the ability of British intelligence to guarantee domestic security. The London bombings could be considered as a classic blowback: the, inside Britain, freely operating international network linked to al-Qaeda turned against its benefactor's home ground.

For N.M. Ahmed, the London attacks were `undoubtedly' discoverable and preventable. The mastermind of the bombings could even have been a double agent.

The fact that the British intelligence services are operating to a political rather than a security agenda is a case of `criminal negligence', for by protecting private powerful vested interests they neglect the security of the British people at home.

More, they are operating without a mandate of the British people, which poses the ultimate question of democracy and the ability of citizens to participate meaningfully in policymaking relevant to their own security.

N.M. Ahmed asks for, at least, an independent and thorough inquiry into the London bombings. But also, a complete overhaul of the British national security system, seeing its terrible neglect of national security, its dirty hands in international bloodshed for `sinister interests' and its indirect implication in drug trafficking (400 billion US $ per year, with veteran drug-traffickers put again in power in Afghanistan) .

An extremely courageous and eye-opening book.

A must read.
