the living planet 3 Feb 2009
Format:Hardcover
This is the second of three volumes which were published to accompany the TV series Life On Earth.
While the first book dealt with biodiversity and evolution this book examines the relationship between animals and plants and the environment in which they exist. On pages 310-311 there is a very useful map which illustrates the various environments which include mountain chains and vocanoes, snow ice and tundra, subpolar and temporate forest, tropical forest, gressland, desert, freshwater, saltwater, islands and very isolated areas.
Each chapter is very well written and illustrated but it is unfortunate the pictures are on matt paper and not gloss
