Believe the hype 1 May 2003

I don't normally review books but in this case I have to make an exception. My father was diagnosed recently of being in need of a heart bi-pass. He decided to take control of his health and started this diet. Two months later, he went back to the specialist and they decided that he didn't need the operation after all! Now my mother, sister and myself have done it. We all feel great! I can highly recommend this for general health as well as those that want to lose weight.

I've been a yo-yo with weight gain all my life and think this diet is the one to fix it. I'm a sceptical person by nature, and the family baulked at being dragged along with me, but we're all feeling better. My normally morose husband is actually smiling and cracking the odd joke, and my 10 year old son (who adheres only at tea time really) has lost the dark circles under his eyes. We've all lost weight. I feel heaps better, no headaches, heartburn, insomnia, loads more energy and less aches and pains. A friend with chronic bronchitis and a diabetic has also been on it and her health has improved so dramatically it's almost a miracle. 1st three weeks are a bit drastic, but well worth sticking to it, I don't think anyone loses. I also appreciate the recipes, which are simple, relatively cheap, very tasty and quick to make as I hate cooking.

This book was amazing. It really works. After doing the liver cleansing diet a while ago, which was not so easy missing out on eating no meat or chicken for 4 weeks, but it really helps to clean you out. I never had so much energy. I felt so good. I lost weight and did not get any migraines. I still keep to the 12 liver principles now and have included the liver diet receipies in my daily lifestyle. They are delicious. The best long term plan for healthy eating and feeling good.

The Liver Cleansing Diet
An excellent diet and really works. Quite hard work to start with, because you need to completely read the book before you begin, but worth it in the end.
