Book Description

This best-loved classic tells the story of a brave little train and his adventure to a big new world where the express trains go.

From the Back Cover

The little train longs for adventure so he sets off at full steam to see the world. But the adventure is not what he expected and soon he longs for home . . . will he have enough steam to get back?

This classic tale was one of Graham Greene's first children's books and was one of the earliest works by master illustrator Edward Ardizzone, who has inspired generations of artists.
