Book Description

10 Jan 1991
A pilot stranded in the desert awakes one morning to see, standing before him, the most extraordinary little fellow. "Please," asks the stranger, "draw me a sheep." And the pilot realizes that when life's events are too difficult to understand, there is no choice but to succumb to their mysteries. He pulls out pencil and paper . . . and thus begins this wise and enchanting fable that, in teaching the secret of what is really important in life, has changed the world forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic 10 Mar 2004
By Nasher
Format:Paperback
It won't take long to read The Little Prince, but it would take more than a lifetime in the world of the adults to make you forget it.
It is the very simple story of a little prince who comes to earth and meets a pilot who is stranded in the desert.
Each of them has some problems on their mind. The aviator wants to fix his plane and escape the desert before he dies of thirst, and the Little Prince... well you'll just have to read it. I couldn't describe it without sounding trite.
The clear and innocent view the little prince has on the world will give you a fresh and new perspective on your life and perhaps make you question what is really important. Perhaps it won't, but at only 91 pages it won't take you to figure out how silly it is of me to tell you the precise number of pages in the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A work of beauty and truth 20 Jun 2003
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I have bought 8 copies of The Little Prince since I first read it over a decade ago and I'm sure I'll buy more. Why? Because I just can't help but give it away to people, it is a wonderful gift that must be shared as it will enchant, touch and stir the reader. As someone has already stated, it is a book to fall in love to and with - romantic, touching, deeply sensitive and just completley beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply unforgettable... 18 April 2003
Format:Paperback
This is the most moving and haunting book I've ever encountered. It tells the story of a lonely man forced to crash his plane in the desert whereupon he meets the little prince who has come from another world. It really is impossible to come close to describing the beauty of this book; I would particually reccomend it to someone who has lost a soul-mate:
"If you love a flower that lives on a star, it is sweet
to look at the sky at night. All the stars are a-bloom
with flowers..."
