5.0 out of 5 stars Good repetitive lines for young children. 30 Oct 1998
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is great to use with kindergarten age children that are working on reading readiness. There is lots of repetition that grows throughout the story. The four kindergarten classes that heard this story, really enjoyed and participated in the presentation. Illustrations are also excellent. Great for discussion of Halloween vocabulary and real vs. imaginary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting option for Halloween 4 Dec 2008
Format:Paperback
This is clearly one of the best books you can buy for Halloween; it tells the story of an old lady who was not afraid of anything; one day she decides to go to the forest in search of seeds and roots for her cookings. And what does she find there...? Some funny clothing items that move mysteriously and start chasing her (boots, a shirt, a hat...)!
The book ends with a beautiful message!
From my personal point of view, 'Big Pumpkin' is, either way, a better choice, but I'm sure that 'The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything' won't let you down!

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Great story to get the children to join in and recognising words. And make funny noises. My daughter loved it. Great one for Halloween.
