I generally don't judge books by their cover but in this case I must admit that this book's cover endeared me as soon as I looked at it; it is a pretty and vintage styled.
The content did not disappoint either; although written mainly for US audiences, this book contains all a novice vintage fashion connoisseur needs to know. It covers things like where to look for the vintage garments, how to recognise if these are authentic and which era they come from as well as some helpful tips for repairing and caring for vintage fashion.
It is written by a professional vintage dealer so I feel that she revealed only enough without betraying trade secrets as to where to find the best stuff. Having said that; the book contains all the tips for somebody who is looking to buy vintage fashion for themselves.
Written in clear and non patronising manner, this book is a great refernce to buying vintage and small enough to carry around on shopping trips.
