A great little book for helping people really see and understand what cultural difference means and the pitfalls you can all too easily fall into.

Admittedly, a fairly specialist subject but for anyone needing to get to grips with creative translation, this little book provides some interesting snippets of information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top translation! 20 Jun 2011

I'm in the translation world and I've come across one or two of the examples given, however there's still a lot of new material especially for a few quid! (I love the Motorola Q phone when translated badly into French - 'Mon Q')

1.0 out of 5 stars patronizing 20 July 2011
By jethro
was hoping for some really funny anecdotes, more of a sales pitch for the mother tongue agency and the importance of transcreation i thought.
