I'd guess this book has about 200 pages, with text on around half of those! Only short, thought-provoking, nuggets of wisdom are contained inside. The blank pages are ripe for your own notes and bits of wisdom as you will certainly refer back to this book frequently throughout your career as a designer.

Clever 21 Nov. 2011
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
If you're a designer, you'll appreciate this super-quick read...it's poignant and funny too. But don't expect a full book. Great for $2.00...not much more.

Strange but true.... 29 Sept. 2011
By John Rivenell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Strange book, not what I was expecting. Stuck in a hotel room, browsing for some text on web design, I came across this. Downloaded to my Kindle. Slightly puzzled by the minimalist presentation. No cover. No intro. Hardly any words. But distilled wisdom. Some of the comments exactly matched my experience. I knew them to be true. They gave me confidence in the remainder. Some of those other comments matched what I had only thought in my head. Things I had been reluctant to share, thinking they were my own distorted thoughts. So I now have a bit more confidence. Either they are all true, or we are both wrong. In exactly the same way. A quick read. Small price. Good. But now what? I wanted to share this with the others in my organisation. Although we are high tech, the young folk aren't yet up to pace with the Kindle. So I thought I would buy a dozen copies, and have them as mandatory reading. Plus one more for the "smallest office in the building". But no, not available in the old dead tree format? I am not sure I can buy everyone a kindle, but this book is good enough that I would consider it. Please can we have an old fashioned hard copy? And if you if have a kindle, have twenty minutes to spare, and are involved in any aspect of design - buy this book. And read it. Perhaps twice. John Rivenell. SageData Solutions Inc.

A collection of 1 liner quotes PER PAGE! 12 Feb. 2013
By Enzo Silva - Published on Amazon.com

If you can tell me how "Dancing Bears Need Not Applying" is a useful quote for Design, I'd keep the book.

Completely pointless collections of 140 characters or less quotes per single page... Not what I was expecting...

While quotes are useful, I could just find them on numerous websites without paying for someone's expertise in compiling them!

Few words, BIG messages !! 8 Dec. 2011

I got hooked with this book, with very few words the author helps you embark in very deep thoughts, so be prepared to spend more time "thinking" about design rather than actually "reading" about it.

A Must Have 5 Sept. 2012
By Tara - Published on Amazon.com

I'm a designer and constantly looking for new books to add to my collection and during my search I came across this book. I was a little unsure if this book would be worth reading but the price was low enough that it was worth taking a shot.

First of all, this ISN'T a "how to" book. If that is what you are looking for then this book isn't it.
This is simply a book with designer/geek humorous tips or advice, if you can call it that. It's a very easy read, read it in a matter of minutes. But during that time, I found that from page to page, the words were provoking thought and I ended up putting sticky notes on favorite pages. Needless to say that I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and it will definitely be something that I will read from time to time and it definitely has a place of my book shelf. I suggest every designer read this book!
