Seeing this back in 1979 it was absolutley magical and although it shows it's age, it's still a great movie.
This particular DVD has indeed the original british cast lending thier voices (Arthur Lowe, Leslie Phillips etc) but the end credits list the american actors which is strange.
The extras are not too bad, with commentary from some of the crewand plenty of production stills and early sketches as well as a few storyboards.
There is a brief but interesting interview with the producer about the problems getting the movie made and there is also a deleted scene from towards the end of the movie whic doesn't show any animation as such but retains the original voice over and shows how the scene would have played out with the aid of early sketches.
It's well worth buying but I feel that people will be disappointed with this if they have seen the new cgi movie and expect a similar film.
Extras listed are simply text information, there are no featurettes, clips, etc.
One word of warning, the principle actors have all been replaced with American dubs, with the exception of Aslan himself, so those looking to find the ITC (or PBS if you are from the States) broadcast version, you might be let down.
There is another version of this available on DVD with the original British cast, available only as Region 2 or 4 DVDs. This other version also contains commentary, although fairly limited according to those who have it. I'll take any suggestions as to where to find a Region 1 version.
Hope this helps anyone trying to confirm WHICH version of the animated feature this is.
