I have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks all my life, not all the time, but usually a few episodes per year triggered by stressful events.
With the Linden Method, I have cured my anxiety within two days of receiving the pack and am confident it will not return.
The pattern was always: "trigger event" - panic - anxiety - worry about anxiety. I always got stuck in the "worry about anxiety" focusing on the unpleasant symptoms of which I suffered dozens, inability to concentrate, think of anything over than anxiety, lack of appetite, insomnia amongst others! I also suffered panic attacks associated with public speaking / interviews and managed to beat this with the help of Paul McKenna's Instant confidence, and Vera Pfeiffer's Positive Thinking. I can now hold presentations and do interviews without having to worry about panic attacks.
The worry about anxiety symptoms always surpassed the initial "trigger" event and usually wore off about a week and I was back to "normal". However unpleasant, I just thought this was my lot, and I would just have to endure it as and when.
Recently though the anxiety attacks have got worse and were starting to be more often, triggered by more and more "events" and so I decided to seek help after my experiences with panic attacks. I had seen the Linden Method before and was very sceptical - solutions that sounded too good to be true usually were. But midway through a recent anxiety epipsode I finally took the plunge and ordered the Linden Method thanks to positive testimonials on Amazon. I hadn't slept for three nights, was so anxious I couldn't eat or focus on anything, I was at my wits end and starting to feel really ill. I downloaded the Linden materials from the website whilst my pack was mailed, and literally within 2 days, my anxiety has gone completely. I had tried similar methods previously as basically they are the same as in Paul McKenna's book but the extra tools and information in the Linden method is much more comprehensive and the extra tools provided really made the difference, especially the visualisation CD's which relaxed me and got me into a state where the Linden Method was 100% effective with a bit of effort.
To beat anxiety disorder, you have to understand anxiety - the triggers and symptoms are actually irrelevant. The Linden Method taught me that my anxiety response was basically the same as my Panic response and I had "taught" myself that this was normal. By relaxation and thought diversion / replacement you can stop anxiety happening by reprogramming your brain. By focusing on anxiety and worrying about it you are actually teaching yourself that it is normal, and effectively feeding the anxiety. The moment you stop, it goes away. It does take effort - in fact a lot of effort, but quickly works once the effort is applied.
What also helps is the Linden Method is not full of jargon or medical terms, it is written in a very understandable way, and I have to say I "got it" straight away - maybe because I am already familiar with "mind programming" techniques, but don't let this put you off.
Somebody told me you can not beat anxiety if you are worried it will happen again and I always was. The Linden Method has given me the confidence to not worry about anxiety anymore therefore I can just get on with my life.
