Whilst visiting Whitby I was taken in by the beautiful harbour and lighthouse. I stumbled along this book whilst browsing on amazon. I was intrigued at the story of the people who work in the lighthouses there.
The poetry is very intelligent. It's amazing how the author can tell a story through poetry and still get the story across clearly. I could not put this book down eager to find out what happens next. Great illustrations too to further the imagination.

This is my book, The Lighthouse Bubble It tells the story of six lighthouse lads. It is written in very precise rhyming verse. Plus I did the illustrations myself. It is my first venture into book publication. There is a lot of boozing involved, besides plenty of comedy, monsters, romance, meetings with the Devil and rescues out at sea. 'Take care when revels swing too well, don't drench and drown your soul. Beware the Devil's spring from hell to wrench you down his hole!'
