Format:Audio CD
Bobby Goldsboro' has made some memorable music over the years ...but much of it isn't here. Ok, the biggest hits are but for every "Honey" there should be a "Butterfly for Bucky" and and for every "Summer, the first time" (wonderful track by the way), there needs to be an "Autumn of my life." No sign of any Broomstick cowboys here either. Nothing wrong with the artist then but a lot left to be desired with this collection. If you only buy one album etc...make this the second.

(Summer) The First Time by Bobby Goldsboro is, for me, one of the most atmospheric and evocative recordings in the history of popular music. Every time I've heard it since its foray into the UK Top Ten in the summer of '73, the track has "spoken" to me and for me. However, until purchasing this CD on a whim, my original 45 rpm copy had been tucked-away in my private collection in the loft for many years. Imagine my delight, then, to discover that this CD purchase not only reunited me with one of my all-time favourite tracks, but it has also given me a whole new appreciation of Bobby Goldsboro's work. It's a fine collection, and thoroughly recommeded to anyone who, like me, enjoys revisiting a far more agreeable age through the popular music of the time. Format:Audio CD
On this CD you get 24 great tracks(listen to the mp3 samples) all in super audio quality considering they are from the 50's/60's.Nearly all tracks are stereo too,which is often not the case and were remastered by Bob Norberg @ Capital Studios Hollywood,a very fine job he did too.It is such a pity Darin died so young,but atleast his fine singing lives on.This CD is one I own in my small collection of Darin CD's and I thoroughly recommend it,CB

Mums funeral
