This book is a really good read for collectors and others interested in the history and development of the Lee-Enfield rifle. The history of this rifle is well written and explained and provides just enough detail and insight to keep you reading on, without getting bogged down in minutae. There are also very good diagrams and photographs, which could probably have been enhanced / expanded had this book ever proceeded to a 2nd Edition. The book also clearly benefits from the author having had a practical and close military association with the Lee-Enfield, rather than the more 'academic' books on this rifle that are currently in circulation.
