Format:Paperback
Not a typical business book which builds to a big idea, this is a cleverly thought out guide book which works best when dipped into for specific advice and guidance when needed.
It's best used as a sort-of 'Lonely Planet' travel guide, only for the most common and demanding leadership challenges modern business leaders face today. I found the section on Change particularly interesting and relevant, especially in today's economic climate which is forcing many businesses to adapt or die!
Buy it, keep it in your laptop bag and use it when pondering how to deal with one (or more) of the challenges approached in the book. It will help you!

Very Practical 9 Sep 2010
Format:Paperback
Mr. Anderson has distilled all the key elements of Leadership and put them together in an enormously practical set of insights. The book is laid out in a simple and eminently usable format that allows the reader to dip in and out for advice but makes you want to read from cover to cover. The is excellent reference material for leaders at all levels.

FT books are always good and this is no exception...

This book avoids much of the usual management\leader flannel and concentrates on what is useful, pragmatic and practical...

I would recommend this not just for those making their first step into management but those that have been their for years too [if anything this book will be even more useful for them]...

Superb.
