This book was really good, it tells you the main story of the film Transformers 2. It was easy to read (and I'm 8!) and is good instead of the film. It could do with a few more pictures though, otherwise brill!

Transformers 7 Jan 2011

I bought this book for my 4.5yr old son as he is very much a fan of the toys. He loved the book and enjoys it being read to him. The content isn't too scarey for his age either and the book is short enough to read at bedtime.

These books are great for getting boys into books and reading... We have around a dozen now covering Transformers, Superman, Spiderman, Kung-Fu Panda, Sharks, Star Wars etc.

I have a four year old who is bang into Star Wars, Transformers, superheroes etc. and we sit down every night to read one of these before bed. He can recognise words, and often recalls whole pages of text.

The only downside is that the majority of the books based on the movie franchises are incomplete and kind of leave you hanging - this is because a) it's hard to get a whole plot into a few pages/words and b) the publishers obviously want you to buy the whole series and complete the story. In this sense the superhero books are better cos they are individual stories in their own right...
