More About the Author

I am a balloon of ideas ready to burst. My books are all very different in style, target and theme. When not writing I run the abandon of Forrest Gump and play trumpet with enthusiasm if not skill.

I loved this book. It was my first introduction to the Nephilim genre and I liked his slant on it. Well done Martin.

Fast paced and full of action, really enjoyed being part of this world. A great page turner, start to finish.

4-1/2 more like it for this UK published e-book 10 Aug. 2012

It looks like this book may recently have appeared as a paperback. I got this on the Kindle Prime Lending Library offer for free, and it included a sample of another book by this author entitled Rephaim.

I recently read another book publised in the UK on e-book format and it's language was far superior, but I just want to give the author of this one benefit of the doubt. Perhaps it is a dilect issue. The reason why I wonder that is that some phrasiology was almost old English terms. The reason I wonder this is that my father-in-law, who was born in Ireland and worked in England and emigrated to the US before the Second World War worded some phrases in a similar fashion as those in this book that reminded me of how he spoke after many years in the US. For American readers, you must realize that we spell many words differently (for example realize vs. realise, color vs. colour, aluminum vs. aluminium), and we punctuate differently (what we call a period, they would call a full stop), and I have UK authors use semicolons where we would use commas.

Overlook these differences, and take on this very intriguing story that has action, intrigue, and is consider Young Adult novel but as a mature, 60-something reader I found this quite entertaining. I'm not too sure it would not be in the realm also of Urban Paranormal. The test of all books would be the question, "Would you pay to read another installment of this if it were a series?" Yes, I would. Perhaps by posting comments like that here, the author will consider continuing the story.

Also, I will be checking out another book currently available by this author, entitled Rephaim. The sample provided that follows this e-book takes us to another place and time, and drew me into the story before even finishing reading this teaser.

Good book! A little slow at the beginning but once it picked up a little bit I was hooked until the end!

The story had lots of potential, but I couldn't really attach myself to the characters and felt like there was something missing...

I ordered this book for my daughter. She loves sci-fi/fantasy type books. This one appears to be easy for her to understand, I hope she enjoys this one.
