Some key facts of life: Never lick a steak knife; don't take laxatives and sleeping pills at the same time and, most importantly, don't mess with Sam Capra.
The Last Minute is Jeff Abbott's follow up to Adreneline and I did approach this book with a little trepidation - I really enjoyed the last one and I was slightly worried it may lose it's way a little. You'll be pleased to hear I was wrong and The Last Minute is another gripping page turned.
This time Sam is searching for his son who is being held captive by Novem Soles - he's forced to track and kill a hacker who has dirt on the criminal ring. I won't go into much more detail because half the fun of this book is the twists and turns. The key thing is that, after a slightly slow start, the book will keep your pulse high and your pages turning.
The book does nothing new or ground breaking, but it is a brilliant thriller - you will absolutely enjoy this; fear not.
