Review
India, 1922 and 50 miles from Calcutta the wives of officers in the Bengal Greys have been dying violent deaths every March - and the only link is a small bunch of roses that appear on their graves. The Governor of Bengal calls in Scotland Yard detective and war hero Joe Sandilands, who is on secondment to the Bengal police. A fine suspense story set in the heat and dust of colonial India.
Literary Review
A formidable and likeable first novel. Ms. Cleverly is going places.
