5.0 out of 5 stars The Last Days of Patton Review 6 Sep 2009
By Mr. S. J. Matthews VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an interesting film, it needs to be viewed after seeing the original "Patton" film, as it's a continuation of that one. Fortunately they cast George C. Scott in the title role again, otherwise it wouldn't have worked. Being based on fact makes it more interesting, as I suspect a lot of people wouldn't be aware of how he ended, and the irony of his demise at the very end of the war. Well worth seeing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suburb cinema 9 July 2009

I had given up on ever obtaining this title, having enjoyed immensely the performence of Scott in Patton, his performance in this film was absolutely rivetting, and was as worthy of an oscar as the first film. Thoroughly recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Below par in quality and narrative. 25 Jan 2005
By A Customer
Format:DVD
Be careful re. this one as picture quality is no where near as good as what we have come to expect from dvds ie. not really crisp and sharp, with annoyingly, distorted wording on the final credits: certainly, not what one might expect from the Hollywood Movie makers!
As far as the film is concerned, it is a bit of an anti-climax after the film 'Patton' itself. Also, George Scott seems a little older and not so much as strong willed and assertive as he was in the first film.

Nevertheless, it is fair to say that this film is extremely cheap even when mailed from the USA, so you can hardly complain.

I must admit bias from the beginning. George S Patton ranks as a bit of a hero and George C Scott is an actor I admire. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars The Last Days Of Patton
The quality of the reproduction of the film was extremely poor, and more like a pirated copy.
As I note that this criticism was raised in a review in 2005 I would suggest that... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars An update on the film "Patton"
This film tells the story of his final days. There is another film that gives a different version of how he was injured and died. Interesting.
