This is a story with an interesting premise, even though as a Christian, I know God would never allow His church to be decimated, to the point where only one of us is left. Nevertheless, the story had great potential, but seemed rushed which was a shame, as so much more could have been made of this novel idea.
Sadly, the book was very poorly edited, which I found distracting to say the least. However, there was something about it that kept me reading.

It's a different book, but the basic story line is plausible and I liked it, although I didn't agree with all the supposed actions of the heroine.

wish these sort of authors would read Wilbur Smith or Clive Cussler, then perhaps they could learn how to write a novel/book.

It's a rather exciting adventure story of a small group of people fighting for survival - but then isn't that really not the point! I would hope that in this horrible future that the author has created that Christians would behave in a rather more Christian manner!

HASH(0x90b7700c) out of 5 stars It is time for people of all faiths to wake up!! 18 Feb. 2012
By WD - Published on Amazon.com

There was a point towards the beginning of this story that I almost stopped reading, as it became a little "preachy." I am SO glad that I continued!!!

Today's news is evidence that we are rapidly becoming the world in which Mary lived - a world where all religions are persecuted and brought to the brink of extinction.

"He was all for the Christian virtues of forgiveness and compassion, but perhaps if we'd remembered the importance of kicking butt and standing up for our rights we wouldn't have found ourselves in the mess we were in."

Note: I would have given this story a solid 5-star rating if it didn't have so many instances of incorrect word usage and editing oversights.

HASH(0x90b77258) out of 5 stars Little Book With Great Message 27 Feb. 2012
By Raymond H. Mullen - Published on Amazon.com

Who says a book must be large to be good? This little novella was really enjoyable. What if you were told to denounce Christ or Die? What if you were the last Christian on earth? What would you do? If you die, Christianity dies with you. If you choose to live to carry on Christs' message you must deny Him to do so.
This is an easy read and very thought provoking. Even though it is fiction it will cause you to examine your faith.

HASH(0x90b7721c) out of 5 stars Awful writing 13 April 2012
By Laura Stein - Published on Amazon.com

This review is specifically for the Kindle edition of this book. I really enjoyed the story this book told. The story could have been so good, and thought provoking. What would you do if you were the last Christian on Earth? More importantly, as a Christian, would I be willing to die in defense of my faith? These are such great questions addressed by this author. However, I would have enjoyed it a lot more if the author had an editor. I was appalled by the terrible grammar, typos and misspellings in this book to the point of distraction. Additionally, the author uses British spellings and vocabulary in the book, even in the dialog between people who are supposed to be Americans. I am surprised at the number of positive reviews this books received. I find it hard to believe that mixing up homophones like their and they're, your and you're, and to and too are limited to the Kindle edition of this book.

HASH(0x90b77510) out of 5 stars Interesting quick read but not biblical correct 10 April 2012
By Marsha - Published on Amazon.com

I have taken to reading several reviews before deciding on a book. I read 1 review that said it was 'preachy'. I found none of that. It is not even biblical correct, if one looks at it from that prospective. The Bible states that the tribulation is 7 years. Many believe as in this story that atheists take over the world. The one world government will be spiritual, but not Christian or Jewish. I enjoyed this fictional story even as a Christian that has studied the Bible. The thing that is important to remember with fiction is that it is FICTION. With that in mind I was able to read this very interesting fast paced short story about the end of all religions, Christianity being the last.

The story begins with Mary in a prison, now in her 20's. She is set to be put to death the next morning and is given a journal to write her confession and renounce Christianity and Jesus Christ. She writes about her growing up years underground. Never seeing sunlight until she was 20. Rather than give you any more details, I encourage you to read this. It is a fun read.

HASH(0x90b77570) out of 5 stars powerful 1 April 2012
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
The last Christian on Earth has to be one of the best short stories I have ever read. I gave this 5 stars because it is an incredible story of a young woman who's faith never faltered no matter what she was going through and what she was about to endure. Although this story is fiction it makes you think if you were Mary (the main character) what would you do if you were the last Christian on earth. As I was reading I did find some errors however since you are reading Mary's actual journal these mistakes were easy to get around placing those mistakes on her and not the proofreader. I recommend this book to all as it was truly a fantastic read and think it would make for a great movie. Bless you all and may the Lord be with you always. Pray that we will never know what it feels like to be alone in our faith and love for the one that died for our sins Jesus Christ!
