Will Kylie, who also hides secrets, find the courage to confront her past and claim passion as her own?

Praise for The Last Bride in Ballymuir:

"A strong plot, entertaining secondary characters, and an enjoyable small-town setting... . Lovers of Irish romance will definitely look forward to the next installment." Romantic Times Magazine

"The Last Bride in Ballymuir is filled with equal parts warmth, humor, and angst. For a story that will tug at your heartstrings, bring tears to your eyes, and leave you smiling with happiness, I recommend The Last Bride in Ballymuir." AOL's Romance Fiction Forum

5.0 out of 5 stars Last Bride In Ballymuir 8 Sep 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
After reading thrillers and fantasy type books, I was a little sceptical about reading The Last Bride In Ballymuir. I thought it would be a dull romance book. I can honestly say I could not put this book down, I even had the whole Irish accent going through my mind as I read. Brilliantly written. Thank you to the author, this was a thoroughly good read.

This book is set in Ireland and the main male character has had dealings with the IRA. The female lead has led a sheltered life after a dramatic incident in her late teens - the book deals with their relationship, how they meet, their courtship and the path of their romance. There's family drama thrown in and life in a small gossipy Irish village to upset their path to true love.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very good 17 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
When I first started reading this book I thought it was set in the 1930's because it was so old fashioned.Ireland in the troubles is more modern than this book describes. Also in Ireland we do not talk about sidewalks we have pavements. The police are called Garda not Gardai .The word for cheers is slainte not slan

3.0 out of 5 stars Last Bride 11 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was an okay piece of fiction I suppose although the main characters were a bit thinly written. Definitely "victim" written all over them".

The whole piece also lacked pace in places.

I can't say that I would actively seek out anything else by this author. All things considered a 3 star rating.

Small things give it away that the author isn't Irish such as calling Autumn the Fall. An ok book to pass the time.

2.0 out of 5 stars An American in Ireland ?
A sweet story spoiled by American jargon. A fence made of stones? Graduation at 18? Practiced instead of practised! The ubiquitous purse instead of bag. Read more
