I got off to a bad start with this book, I found the first few chapters incredibly dull and had to force myself to continue reading, and I was glad I did. All the background history, the descriptions of Georginas work and the details of the disaster dates are quite heavy and really not necessary for the story. The book picks up when the girls reach New York. From this point until near the end the book is packed with humour and intrigue, I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud! Unfortunately the ending, in my opinion, is another let down.
It's not a bad book, it has a good story and is very funny in places.
