Format: Paperback
This slim volume contains enough information to quench the thirst for knowledge in student, teacher and those who merely wish to know more about the intricacies of modern day communication. All conceivable forms are covered, with a supreme section on Email and IRC. Written in a light hearted easy tone, with plenty of explanation and opportunity for further study, yet totally digestible either in one sitting or in handy pre-ordained chunks. Phenomenal!

Straightforward, easy reading, but extremely interesting and useful at the same time. As a lover of the study of Internet linguistics this book was an absolute joy to read. I only wish there was more coverage of the growing number of Internet cultures, though it covers the fundamental points and a few examples.

I have enjoyed reading this but some of it seemed a bit obvious. The text is helpful as part of language study though for how language develops
