I have been reading Kings work for some years and saw this on telly and thought it brill, when it came on sky I sat my hubby down to watch and well he is hooked, he now rates this one of his topten all time films....It is quite true to the short story and can be watched by anyone.Awesomely great

Atmospherically brilliant, This film is all about a small group of people who whilst on an aeroplane fall asleep, when they wake up everybody else on board has disapeared, and everybody on earth is gone.. They need to land to find fuel but are totally perplexed that no one is responding to there calls for help, eventually they do land and they can hear crunching sounds in the distance, what could it be , im not going to spoil it for you, all i can say is its kings imagination at its very best, a great adaption from best selling book to film, buy this its a super film for all the family.

dont mind that last review obviously, the langoliers is not everyones cup of tea but i have watched it twice before on t.v and am going to go out and buy it now its available on dvd. i think its very good and the crunching sounds in the distance are very creepy but effective. its my favorite of the steven king films that and saloms lot. go on buy it, you wont be disappointed.

True to the novel

Classic Stephen King
This is a brilliant film, very much a classic Stephen King story. Its a bit long winded but its typical King, very thought provoking.
