A very useful book, covers all the practical aspects of buying and letting a property to students: from the practicalities of gas checks, licencing of Houses in Multiple Occupation to even the available tax deductions. Also helpful appendices to save time creating tenant application forms, inventory checklists and useful contact numbers. The author has obviously firsthand experience in this business.

I found this an excellent book, the only one of it's kind with much information for the New Student Landlord, as well as essential reading for Students looking for rooms in the academic year. A 'Must Have' Book.

OK for Londoners I suppose...

For Americans, some of this book is marginally useful, but most of it is totally useless, as it is written for a UK audience, and deals with all manner of UK law and 'letting' arcana. And of course, you can't detect this in any of the product description information. Guess the author's name should have given it away......
