This is a stunning book. Completely riveting and undoubtedly one of the best fantasy books ever written.

In The Lament Of Abalone, Jane Welch fulfils the potential shown in her debut Runespell trilogy. Romantic without being schmaltzy, fantastic without defying possibility, this book blends all the ingredients of a classic fantasy story superbly well.

Brilliant. Buy it today!

Miss Welch is brilliant in this her fourth book. For anyone who has read her previous novels 'The Runespell Trilogy' it is set three years after the close of Runes of Sorcery and concerns the same group of characters.

I began this book at around 11pm and was unable to put it down until I'd finished it at 5am. As someone who eagerly read each of Maggie Fury's books it is wonderful to have found an author who is capable of consistent high quality story telling. I eagerly await the publication of her next novel The Bard of Castaguard in April!
