Compact book easy to carry around and there is a good mix of walks but have to say the route instructions are poor and very vague in places. Definitly recommend using it in conjuntion with an OS map.

The Worst Guide Book Ever 24 Jun 2011

In all my many years of walking this is by far the worst guide book I have ever had the misfortune of buying and then attempting to follow. Both the instructions and the maps are poor. The book suggests that it should be used with the relevant Ordanance Survey (OS) map. In my opinion ditch this (as I did in a bin in Borrowdale) and use the OS map or try the CAMRA guide which was 10 times better.
