1.0 out of 5 stars It is like this as a Scot 19 May 2012

loving abroad to the US and not wanting to be outright racist but sick fed up of the Scots language and culture being buthered in books like this. As for everything else. ....Gimme a break

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Romp! 3 May 2004
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book is hard to put down once you start it. Easy to read and full of humour, romance, adversity and triumph. The only thing that started to annoy me was the fact that Ms Mason seems to be obsessed with oral sex, read the book and see what I mean. Well worth buying though.

to be perfectly frank, i love hitorical romances they are by far my favourite but this book was plain awful. lets start with the main characters, the guy is such an arrogant jerk that it appals me that the heroine would find him attractive i mean not to be a spoiler but at one point when he was mad at the heroine (Blair) he said "i want naught to do with Blair or the bairn she may or may not carry. One witch in the household is enough." and then he talks about sending her away! i mean come on! who wants to grab a book so as to escape from this ridiculous world we've shaped for ourselves to ending up reading about guys like that! i wont say anymore about the plot if you are still tempted to buy it but i can say it was poorly written and the plot wasn't feasible (i mean it had witchcraft and faery woman for christs sake!). if you want a well written plot buy a great author then look no further than lisa kleypas and any of her amazing books. however if you still feel like reading connie mason then i suggest reading "taken by you" which is by far her best one.
