Best Lady Grace 4 April 2009
Format:Paperback
A great addition to the Lady Grace series.
The Queen and her court are staying at a noblemans estate where there is some building work going on to honour the Queen. But it has to stop because of a mysterious happening. Lady Grace, Ellie and Masou have to investigate and what they find is not completly expected. And could the bravery of Ellie lead to her promotion from laundry maid...

I could not stop reading until I had found out what happens and even once I'd finished reading this book I desperatly tried to get hold of Intrigue, the follow on. With the puzzle that is testing for even ingenious brains, you can hardly stop until the mystery is solved. Extra feeling with the diary-like style.

This plot stands on its own or alongside the rest of the Lady Grace series.

Another good mystery from the Lady Grace series. 23 Dec 2007
By Rebecca Herman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is the eighth book in the Lady Grace Mysteries series, about Lady Grace Cavendish, a thirteen-year-old Maid of Honor at the court of Queen Elizabeth I.

It is July of 1570, and Queen Elizabeth I and her court are on summer progress. Currently, they are staying at Medenham Manor, where the Earl, Lord Reynold, is rebuilding the manor house in the latest style. However, soon after the court arrives, rumors begin to circulate that the manor is being haunted by the ghost of the first Earl, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances more than a hundred years ago. Is there really a ghost at Medenham Manor, or are the spooky happenings the work of someone who has a grudge against Lord Reynold? Unable to resist a mystery, Grace is determined to discover the truth.

This is another good book from the Lady Grace Mysteries series. Through Grace's diary we learn many details about life in Elizabethan times while reading an enjoyable story. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoyed other books in the series, as well as to new readers who enjoy reading about this time period.
