This is not only a complete guide to the kosher kitchen, but it is a beautiful book as well. Artscroll quality cannot be beat. This is a book you will definitely want to keep and refer to again and again. Unless you are raised Jewish and already know how to keep a kosher kitchen and observe the dietary laws, this book will teach you all you need to know.
There are so many questions and subjects dealt with that I could not even think to ask. It is enjoyable just to read a little at a time, or to keep as a reference. I love the way the author addresses different situations and problems that might arise. I really can't say enough about this book, except that you will not be disappointed. I ordered the "Spice and Spirit" cookbook at the same time I ordered this one, and with just these two volumes, I have been able to learn both Jewish guidelines and the preparation of the foods.
I will keep this book as part of my permanent library, and you will, too, if you purchase it.
